My name is Diane and I consider myself very blessed to be associated with Teen Challenge. I have lived in Roseville for over 35 years and work part-time with my husband, Greg who is a realtor with Coldwell Banker. We have raised two boys and are now empty-nesters. Greg has been a supporter of Teen Challenge for many years and about 11 years ago, I was invited to the Alpha Henson Home to help my friend, Debbie, minister to the ladies with crafts and devotions. I saw that there were gardening items outside the classroom and offered to help develop a Culinary Garden to enhance the meals at the Home. God gave me the opportunity to turn my love for gardening into a chance to spend time in the beautiful environment around the grounds and spend time getting to know and encourage some of the ladies in the program. It has been so rewarding to be able to see God’s hand at work in each of them!!
I help with the yearly Golf Tournament and now teach one of the Group Studies lessons for one week each month, and this gives me a chance to watch the transition from LOST to THRIVING. I often get to meet ladies when they first come to the Alpha Henson Home and watch as they begin to understand how much God loves them and has a victorious plan for their lives.
The staff is always so grateful when I come out and they were very helpful in preparing me for my volunteer duties. I always get much more than I give when I visit and it’s a JOY to work in this beautiful place of ministry that brings forth so much fruit!!
