How Do I Get Into Teen Challenge?

While there are specific situations that may need to be addressed differently, the general steps are as follows:

Phone Call

The person needing help must take responsibility and call to set up an interview for themselves.

Women call (530) 751-9511

Men call (916) 443-3049

Redding area call (530) 357-2772

Susanville area call (530) 251-5222

They are given a tour of the center and an explanation of how the program works. They also complete a short interview form and their eligibility is determined.  Unless they are in a real crisis, they will be asked to get a physical exam, including a few laboratory tests to ensure that they do not have any contagious diseases.

If you would like to save time at the interview you can read the “Introductory Information Packet” below and then complete the admission forms prior to your interview.

If you live a great distance from our centers or if you are trying to help someone who is incarcerated and unable to come to the center for an interview, you may call the Admissions Coordinator of the center for permission to take care of the preliminary steps over the phone or through the mail. Once you are accepted into the Teen Challenge Program an interview will take place at the time of your arrival to the center.

An admission date is scheduled for the man or woman to enter the program.

There is no charge for our services.

We do accept people who are court appointed.
