Growing up in a world where you either “toughened up” or got ran over, PJ decided to “toughen up”. This abusive environment exposed PJ to destructive behaviors at an early age. Not a stranger to drugs, alcohol abuse and all that comes with those lifestyles, PJ quickly found herself in a dark and deadly world. She did what it took to survive.
While feeling hopeless and completely out of control, a ray of light came into her dark world – the light of God’s love stepped in! Her relationship with Jesus Christ turned her world upside down.
She went on to earn three bachelor degrees in Early Childhood, Psychology, and Theology. This opened the doors for her to be a Probation Officer, an Associate Minister at several large churches, a Supervising Law Enforcement and Community Chaplain, the founding Director of a street mission for women and children, and in varying positions with Sacramento Valley Teen Challenge.
PJ truly found her passion. A passion for the lost, the hurting, and for the precious souls that society labels hopeless. Now as an Ordained Minister, PJ is in the season of her life where she wants to pass on the many life lessons she has learned.
PJ knows what it means to live a life “un-hinged”, choosing to live a life with the doors blown wide open for the world to see. She feels that what she has to offer anyone is the reality of living a Christian life. With PJ there are no platitudes that placate or topics couched in religious regalia. She just dishes out the facts as she sees them, offering hope for anyone who has had ‘life’ happen, only to then have to pick up the pieces.
