Dear Teen Challenge Family, Life outside of Teen Challenge has been an exciting journey! Upon graduating I was graciously employed by a Teen Challenge volunteer as a janitor with his company. Before long another opportunity came along in which I received employment at a different company. Starting off at an entry-level position, by the grace of God, I have now been given one of the highest paid positions in the shop. I am grateful for the work ethic that I developed while being in Teen Challenge. God has graciously provided for my family and has met all of our needs. Through hard work and the grace of God we are now debt free, our cars are paid off and in November of last year we purchased our first home. I am so grateful for the finance classes that I took while being in Teen Challenge.
Completing Teen Challenge has given me a wonderful confidence and the courage to pursue the hopes and dreams that God has placed within my heart. One of those dreams was to finish college. On may 11th, with all my family in attendance, I was able to walk the stage and receive my Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from William Jessup University. Looking back I can confidently say that it has only been through a relationship with Jesus Christ and the power of His Word.
My next goal is to enter into a Master’s Program in order to receive a Master’s Degree in Teaching as well as Teaching Credential through William Jessup University. I am passionate about reaching inner city youth and becoming a history teacher in a public high school. I believe this avenue will provide a unique opportunity to reach their hearts with the gospel.
Thanks again to all those that sacrifice their time and effort, reaching hearts like mine through Teen Challenge. My family will be forever grateful for the way God has used Teen Challenge to bless our lives. -William
